In 2011, the desire to leave me again. I hear about Claudine André, a Belgian who loves Congo and Bonobos, our closest cousins.

The Bonobo 99% of genes common with men. In other words, their behavior is similar to ours.

The sanctuary LOLA YA BONOBO "paradise bonobos" recovers orphans whose mothers were killed by poachers (for meat but the species is in danger of extinction), and then the "surrogate mums" come to take the relay. That is to say that all the actions that a female would have done in the nature are re-applied by women hired on the spot. Yes only by women because they make the distinction between men and women very well. The woman will be likened to food, cuddling and comfort while the man is considered a partner of the game. The difference is very obvious when you enter their pen in mixed couple. The boy will instinctively take refuge with a woman, and conversely play with a man.

Once adults, they are put away from men to resume a wild instinct. They can sometimes be very dangerous (3 times the strength of a man). Claudine and her team always try to release them in the forest. It's a race against the clock to save the species.

This is the site of the sanctuary if you want to go there one day: http://www.lolayabonobo.org/
